A Note from Jay about the Co-Pilot Service

Everyone needs a quality financial plan. Learning to use new software, let alone the ins and outs of personal finance theory, can be daunting and time-consuming. Explaining difficult concepts in a clear and concise manner is one of my greatest passions. Helping others find solutions to challenging problems is incredibly rewarding.
I have spent years using economics-based planning and MaxiFi with my clients at Lyon Financial Planning, from young couples just starting out to those transitioning to retirement and beyond. It is the only way to accurately solve for, and discover meaningful ways to increase, your discretionary spending–whereas conventional planning does nothing more than guess.
As your Co-Pilot, I guide you through the construction, interpretation and optimization of your MaxiFi financial plan.
Whether you’re new to financial planning or a bona fide expert, I am looking forward to being your Co-Pilot. During your Co-Pilot session, I will not provide specific financial or investment advice.

"About 2 years ago I started the process of researching CCRCs or continuing care retirement communities. I immediately discovered a very complex landscape of financial considerations. I also discovered that traditional retirement calculators, often used by many financial planners, were not going to give me the information I would need to make a decision concerning whether I should enter a CCRC. It was clear that I needed retirement planning software capable of modeling different scenarios. MaxiFi has this feature by giving us the ability to create alternate profiles. I was then able to model Type A CCRCs–– often called all-inclusive plans, versus Type C CCRCs, often called a la carte plans. Within each type I was able to model different scenarios… Without this type of modeling capability I would not have been comfortable making the type of financial commitment CCRCs require… Jay gave me considerable help not only setting up MaxiFi but also helping me create the various CCRC scenarios that I used. So thank you MaxiFi and thank you Jay!"

"I highly recommend the Co-Pilot service offered by MaxiFi. I have used MaxiFi for years, and ESPlanner before that. So, I have lots of experience with the product. But even the most proficient user needs advice on occasion. At least, I do. Most of us know the basics of MaxiFi but the options for exploration are almost endless. … Jay was just what I hoped for and more. We had a great meeting (virtual). I immediately felt comfortable with the process. I got all my questions answered. I got some suggestions and pointers concerning MaxiFi that I never would have thought of. Most of all, I came away with a new sense of confidence about MaxiFi and my financial situation in general. This service is not inexpensive. But, to me, it is worth it."
